Return to Russia, More of Moscow
Turns out I might be going back to Russia (Moscow again) pretty soon (for 3 days this time) still, I did pretty well for myself in an hour the last time. Here are some stills:
Behind this tremendous building lies one of the biggest and worst HATER testimonies I've heard...
Saint Basil's Catherdral, Red Square was designed and built by architect Postnik Yakovlev. Its said that Ivan the Terrible (who the building was commissioned by) ordered Yakovlev to be blinded when the chapel was completed, to prevent him ever from ever building anything of such beauty again. I feel your pain Yakovlev! (well, nearly...)
Some scenes from the hotel lobby
Me outside a very good restaurant and blues bar
Some interesting architecture - a feel of Moscow
A MASSIVE concert stage in the middle of Red Square, just for me! Hee hee ;D
Red Square, the Kremlin and the smiley Anya (top chick!)
Hhhm, what to wear...
Some retro lighting at the airport (aint seen this style in a while)
You know when I got there, there were all these lil flecks of white dust-looking fluff floating around in the air! Turns out it was pollen but there was lots - it looked like snow. Speaking of which, I'm hoping when I get back to Moscow, they'll have winter collections so I can get one of those GIANT furry coats to bring back for when the weather's really cold... you know the kind... they're so warm that you aint gotta wear much underneath? (Er, that was only an example - wash your brain) xxx

Mattel Hover Board on eBay
With all the media hype surrounding Nike Hyperdunk 2015 (I NEED these in my life!), a number of movie props from cult 80's movie "Back To The Future Part II" have made their way onto eBay.
First up, a fully working prop of the Nike Mag - the fictional sneaker worn by Marty McFly, which inspired the Hypderdunk 2015 colourway and has also been subject to many fans demanding a full release. The shoe sold for $5,300 USD.
The more collectable prop, however is the Mattel Hover Board. Unlike other props made of styrofoam which haven't held up well due to the fragile material and thrashing they got on set, this Hover Board is made of wood and metal, complete with a texturized paint job.
For a starting bid of $30,000 USD, you'd be expecting that board to actually hover....
I might actually spend the whole of tomorrow watching the entire trilogy.

Cut from the same cloth 2.0
During the US Gold-Rush, the people who made the real money were not those digging for and finding the gold…It was those selling the tents, picks, shovels etc to the prospectors…I always thought this was hype, but is true stories…http://historylink.org/essays/output.cfm?file_id=8193
Murdoch is doing the same thing…also the fact that more people are leaving traditional media to go online and taking the billions of advertising revenue with them, he needs to stay in the game.

DJ Cable's Weekly Mix #26 (Download)
I know it's a bit late, but I'm back with another mix....
This week, I threw together a lil' mixture of Baltimore Club music, some Electro from those Daft Punk chaps, some Outkast, and something from Chromeo. This week also marks the fact that I'm halfway through my mission of doing weekly mixes for the whole of 2008! Dedication or what?!
Admittedly, I should be on #29 by now, but as I started partway through January (I'm lazy, I know!), I'll be posting up two in one week further down the line....
Anyhow, here' the link:
Stream/Download
Tracklisting:
01. M.O.P. Feat. Busta Rhymes, Tephlon & Remy Ma - Ante Up (Remix)
02. M.O.P. - Ante Up (Tittsworth Remix)
03. Ludacris - Move Bitch (DJ Neoteric Remix)
04. Just Blaze - Friday Night (Titts Bonus Beats)
05. Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (Tittsworth Remix)
06. Daft Punk - Technologic
07. Outkast Feat. Sleepy Brown - The Way You Move
08. Chromeo - Opening Up
Missed out on any of the weekly mixes? Grab them all here.
BONUS! For any Chromeo fans in the UK, my boy Khal over at Rock The Dub has given you the chance to win some tickets to see them live in London next month. More details about the competition here. Good luck!

Cut from the same cloth!
Nas supported a petition against racially biased smears and reports by Fox News and hand delivered it and all 600,000 signatures to Fox studios. This...NOT Li'l Weeezy... tells me Hip hop is not dead!
As well as a brilliant example of social mobilization, this IS hip hop!
So to me, it’s all good and the channel needs to be identified as the hotbed for the right-wing sensationalism and inflammatory rhetoric that it is. When you report sh*t like this (see video) the sooner people realise and switch off the better!
Now I for one spud all my terrorist bredrin…which has included nearly half this blog!
Then I thougt to myself, to be fair, there’s a wealth of other media outlets that aren’t as biased and could give a better, more objective account of the news, especially here in the UK where (aside of the Sun, News of the World and other tabloids) we’re not as crass as (some of) our US cousins. So I’m happy! FCUK-A-FOX-NEWS!
If I want real news I could read the Times or watch Sky News or go online right?!
Well take a look at this…
http://www.woopidoo.com/biography/rupert-news-corporation.htm
and this…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Sky_Broadcasting
Not funny right!? So yeah, lets shout about Fox all day long, Bill O’Reily "rah rah rah!!" But people please don’t let this be a decoy that takes our minds from other so called “news” sources which are essentially cut from the same cloth. Further more lets remember there’s ONE big organ grinder behind all this that's paying the piper… “and he who pays the piper, calls the tune”.

Russia
Okay, its been a little while since my last post but I've been doing lotsa travelling, writing, meetings, amongst other things so I aint had a great deal of time on my hands. Plus I'm still waiting for my photos to come through from the day I met the one and only Quincy Jones (yes, QJ the 1st!) one of my heroes. Incidentally at the same time, my camera decided to be a bitch and not work so am waiting for the kind soul who snapped the pics to email them to me. Yes, I did really happen!!! Ask Chris Tucker... he was there too.
Anyway, I'm gonna keep back-tracking cos I've had quite a few adventures! So here's a post of me in Russia a few weeks ago, playing my role as what Eska describes on her mypace blog as a 'tourist attraction'.... yes people, I'm black. No, I'm not Beyonce! I got asked for photos 3 times in 45 minutes. I pretended I was famous already, but I'm getting ahead of myself. That's not gonna happen til May.

Long Weekend
Thursday - DMC's UK finale DJ Skully won and then bigged up David Ike, this may explain his for year gap.... and plus touring with Klashnekoff! I'm not convinced skully had the most original set, it was a lil' too much like being back in 2002, however, saying that his set was the tightest amongst other sloppy characters like Asian Hawk! Anyway.....
raining UK champ, JFB came second and Switch came third, most people thought he should have won and his set was the best out of the lot, but hey thats DMC for ya!
Oh yeah Beat Torrent/ C2C whatever the French guys are called did a dope set! I cud describe what they did and be a better journalist but fuck it your a cunt and im to busy/lazy, so fuck you!
PS aint got no pics of the event opps!
A lot of madness went on during the rest of the night and i promised most dj's that i wouldn't mention it on the blog or post pics (big up cakes), of course DJ Cable was out in full effect (I'm Cable bitches) Holding it down on the judges panel along side Mr Thing!
After pary at Mat Dats featuring dj Blakey LOL ! Walthamstow - Long ting, no sleep!
stayed awake all night went to the pub in the day then went to Bar Rumba and somehow I ended up hosting the night!
Big up Spin Doctor!
On the real - Launch Party
Inka Hosting
Krew Shot - dj Rags, Neil Armstrong (Jay-Z'z Tour DJ), Inka, Spin Doctor, Antony and Snips
Me on the mic and Bruce Wayne pointing that out!
Kiss FM's own DJ MK!
Neil Armstrong and me no sleep bitches!
END OF FRIDAY
Saturday - The Westbury in Kilburn I did 11 till 1am and then one of the guys from The Freestyles came on. After all this I headed to the west end to link Snips and get food!
This is a very very edited version of events, what can I say? I'm a DJ not a journalist...
until next time, RAPE!
