Long Weekend

Thursday - DMC's UK finale DJ Skully won and then bigged up David Ike, this may explain his for year gap.... and plus touring with Klashnekoff! I'm not convinced skully had the most original set, it was a lil' too much like being back in 2002, however, saying that his set was the tightest amongst other sloppy characters like Asian Hawk! Anyway.....
raining UK champ, JFB came second and Switch came third, most people thought he should have won and his set was the best out of the lot, but hey thats DMC for ya!
Oh yeah Beat Torrent/ C2C whatever the French guys are called did a dope set! I cud describe what they did and be a better journalist but fuck it your a cunt and im to busy/lazy, so fuck you!

A lot of madness went on during the rest of the night and i promised most dj's that i wouldn't mention it on the blog or post pics (big up cakes), of course DJ Cable was out in full effect (I'm Cable bitches) Holding it down on the judges panel along side Mr Thing!

Saturday - The Westbury in Kilburn I did 11 till 1am and then one of the guys from The Freestyles came on. After all this I headed to the west end to link Snips and get food!

Ahhhh... Brixton on a monday afternoon! So this is what happens when ONE man is in possession of drugs, 2 police dogs, 5 cars, 2 vans and at least 20 police screaming "Hes resisting arrest!.. Back up! Back up!" Lucky i walk with my camera, unfortunatley i couldnt get to close out of fear of being pepper sprayed by the metropolitan law enforcers!

So it was that time of the month again, Livin Proof seems to come round faster than i can do mailouts! The fam was out in full effect last night and real hip hop was (and always is!) in the building! Shouts to everyone that have come out to Bar Rumba since the venue change, we know theres been teething problems and we love that uve stayed faithfull and been a part of making this a great night (Even if there have been a few ex Livin Proof fam that have felt the need to actively take time out to tell people not to come!, but hey... we dont all have busy lives i guess!!) Big ups to Rudy and co, Big Ted, Keaton, Jenna TNT, Mr Thing, Inka, Kalil, Budge, Krissi and her Birthday Crew, Doc Brown, Yungun and of course the lovely Ms Santos... See you next month peeps!!
