Apple Unveils The "Macbook Wheel"

So they say it'll make typing a thing of the past. FLOL @ The guy who spent 45 (yeh, forty-five!) minutes sending his friend an email on one of these things. That's an awful lot of clicking.

I love Apple products, but this is straight gash.

For those with an iPhone....

Wanted a cool application to show off your iPhone to your friends? Well look no further.

The "I Am Rich" application consists of a red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this. The best bit about it is its function - Absolutely nothing....

It's cost? A mere €799,99 or $999.99.

Unfortunately, it has since been removed from the iphone app. store.

The Best MIDI Controller in the World....Ever (Video)

Nope, it's not those insanely-priced Jazz Mutant ones that Daft Punk use....It's even more crazier:

Companies such as Akai, Korg & M-Audio spend millions of research and development to come up with the perfect MIDI controlle. This chap by the name of DJ Rasteri, armed with an open source code, a spare crossfader and a cardboard box(!), puts one together for peanuts.

When you look at the workings, it's the simplest of principles - the platter with markings spins and the position is tracked and fed to software via MIDI which gives the location and speed for the sample to be played at. The demo shown is actually Traktor being controlled via MIDI, however Rasteri thinks it's possible to make an all in one 'ScratchMan' (as it's been dubbed).

MIDI controllers made with cardboard & gaffer tape? Now that's some next level Blue Peter-type shit....

More pics here too.
