Candy, Women, Drink and Good Music.... sounds like the perfect ingredients for a great party right?... well... it was. Firstly lemme say, Berlin is THE shit!... No attidudes, everythings cheap, the women are hot, the people are friendly... what more could u want? Big Shouts to Emily and Gabriel for bringing me out. This is possibly the only party ive ever done that can rival Livin Proof... yes it was THAT good!
DJ Laylo from the Bronx NYC kicked things off, this girls selection was crazy. The over all vibe for the night was 90s RnB and Hip Hop party classics and when i tell u this girl was drawing for shit that had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up... When i heard Ralph Tresvants "Sensitivity" i could came very close to proposing to the first women i saw....
Luckily for the female population of Berlin it was still early on so no wedding bells for me just yet... unless of course the Lovely Michal (on the left) wanted to accept my offer, This girl is possibly the sweetest girl on the planet. I want to take her home in a giant box with a ribbon on it!.. And Nikeata (Right) is possibly the coolest chick in the world, this girl RUNS Berlin... Belive that!
Big shouts to Hadnet as well, When i tell u EVERYONE i met out here showed me nothing but love, i really mean everyone. The Hip Hop community in Berlin is seriously what London should aspire to.
I cant remember this girls name but shes gorgeous so she had to grace Krakmusik!... by the time i jumped on the 1+2s, the party was really starting to heave. I really havnt had this much fun DJing since the Biggie Special we did @ Livin Proof in March. I Literally played EVERYTHING... from J-Dilla to Prince to Buju Banton to Busta to Teddy Riley to Preemo Classics.... even some Classic House and Jungle got thrown in.
Big up my brother from another the one and only Mr Positive... Keaton aka MJ Keats... by this point it was about an hour in to my set and Emily had decided that it would greatly honour her if i was to get drunk at her party.... so 5 or 6 drinks later, i looked like i did in this pic above...
Oh ... and more girls. Did i mention the girls in Berlin are hot??...
After playing solidly for about 3 hours, i needed a break... as im not so much of a drinker i didnt realise just how dangerous drinking while DJing is as u dont actually realise how drunk u are getting till u stop... so we cooled off in the "Ice Room" which is exactly what it sounds like... its a room made of ice. The bonus is that u get to wear one of these really cool jackets before u go in there... which Keaton later on tried to steal... unsuccesfully!
By the end of the night... this is how i ended up, red eyed... smiley... and satisfied. Keaton looks pissed of however he wasnt... not at this moment anyway.....that came later!... Chear up Bruv!!!!... Emily pretty much had this expression on the whole night... smiley, with one eye closed... (hence the reason i put the pic up with glasses!) ... anyway, that was my night... it was heavy!... Candy is THE shit, Berlin is THE shit... Berlin girls are THE shit.... and im pretty good at what i do to!... PEACE!

Another week in, another mix up for grabs....
This week, I decided to throw together a small Hip Hop mix featuring a couple of the artists from the "Rock The Bells" tour. For those not in the know - It's kinda like an all-Hip Hop version of the "Lollapalooza" festival over in America.
The mix features some classic joints from the likes of Rock The Bells artists A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde & Nas. As a bonus, I also threw in some classic Common & some Gang Starr for good measure too!

Sway called me in to do some drops for the single I appear on with himself and Lemar, Saturday Night Hustle. That night, I finished off the last of about 60 specials for 60 different DJs and radio stations! Then flew off to Germany at 7am (still wondering how I lost my voice? lol!)

Went to visit one of my Happy places-GOD! I miss it so much, It was so Great to see everyone and Spend some good old fashion Quality Time. My Ex-Boss made fire hot chili and we sat and cackled about old times-GOOD TIMES!
Snapped a few snaps and what not but this one sums up how I feel about kids on road these days. 
We need to dust of the rod and beat sense into these kids coz they done lost their tiny minds.

Redman Feat. Roz "I Get Down Like That"
Just stumbled across the MP3 of this forgotten gem!
I remember picking this up on one of those "Archives" compilation 12's a few years back. Ridiculously hot joint, featuring Roz (Redman's sister!).
Apparently this track first came to light on a white label Redman record called "Dat Underground Shit !!!!". This 12" mysteriously appeared after "Dare Iz A Darkside" and before "Muddy Waters". I don't think it even got a promo release on Def Jam....The 12" also featured a couple of mixes of "I Can't Wait" and another track called "Montage", which is an edit of various verses from different songs.

THE MUTE DIARIES: Entry 1
Ok, the worst has happened. I've finally done it... worn myself so far into the ground that I'm exhausted and have lost my best asset as a result - my voice. It finally decided its not waiting for me to go on holiday anymore, it went without me. I was ordered to rest my busy self and my voice for 3 weeks. I was shocked and devasted, but after some reassurance and the really great support of my friends, (thank you!) I've accepted that for 3 weeks, I'm mute.
That's right, no singing, no talking and barely laughing. I'm naturally a quiet person anyway (took me years to break out of THAT shell) so the not speaking, I dont mind too much - back to my roots! But I've had to cancel some shows, and cancel my whole life basically. Or so I thought... but this is really a much more profound experience than I ever imagined it could be - and to my surprise, in many positive ways.
I'll keep you up to date in my Mute Diaries. We'll call this Entry 1 because already after a few days, I've had some real epiphanies, and moments of fear and comedy.
One being that I honestly feel as though I'm a super-hero who's been stripped of her powers. Sweezy SewperStar is on vacation! I've had to strip my whole being mentally because I can't just be Sewuese the Singer anymore. For real, it's the maddest perspective. Right now, listening to my recordings is like an out-of-body experience. I hear my voice like it doesn't belong to me. Though I always said it was a gift, seeing it from the point of view that I dont have it right now, has made me see how big and great a gift it really is.
It cant be my focus for now so I gotta focus on other things, which is quite refreshing, after being Sewuese the Singer for so many years. So mad and upset as I was to have to stop for a sec, my eyes have opened so wide to other parts of me and who I am, not just what. Guess you could say I'm thankful.
But I want my voice back tho.
LOL.

Heard & Not Seen - Just the Olympics?
Something that I found interesting, was that the press seemed shocked and outraged that someone with no apparent talent was chosen over someone who had obvious and raw talent, purley because she looked the part... hhhmmm, sound familiar? Oh I know... its practically a model of western world tabloid media! (and much of the music industry). So some wanna piss on China for doing the same thing? Why? Cos she's a child? Ok, yeah - its wrong cos she's a child. But its ok to print a playboy bunny on kid's stationary? Moving on...
This poor little girl got pushed aside because apparently, she wasn't a 'pretty enough' image to project to the world. What KILLS me is that her voice seemed to be good enough. Wow.
I know what its like cos I've been through this. I've been rejected more than once... more than twice as an Artist. There have been times when my voice has been good enough, but for some reason, my image or my input as an artist and what I want to represent, is totally disregarded, and discarded. In some cases, it's business, in some cases, I couldnt even explain to you why. But in many cases, it's just wrong. And believe me even as an adult, it's harsh. But imagine the message that's sending out to this angel-voiced child, and the MILLIONS of children across the world.
Even if the child had elephantitis all over her body and face, she should be acknowledged for her talent I reckon. But I mean, look at the lil chick - she's not exactly a minger is she? Even if the case was so, have mercy on the child. She is who and what she is. If she can't be that, then leave her out totally. And you know what? Same goes for me.
Facebook Deleted Cable!!!
So I went to sign in earlier this evening, and was informed that my account has been "disabled"....which basically means they've deleted my ass (the reason is still unknown) from Facebook....
Damn! So I've had to start up again, and get on re-adding all my past contacts....Shame really, as I had accumulated a solid fanbase, and was getting a number of bookings through my profile....
Now, I use this just like any other DJ as a means to promote myself, my mixtapes, music and to also meet new people and keep in touch with old school/college/uni friends....I'm hardly a spam bot, so I don't see what the problem was...
