Sampling music isn't creative!?

Ok so nearly all music has been sampled right? or at least inspired by music of preceding eras. I don't just mean hip hop btw... Duffy, Mika, Adele, Amy etc. The point is, as any Dilla, Primo and Madlib fan knows, it's all about how you "flip it" to get the best reaction from your audience.

"TRIPS ON A 303"
is about that...DJs, producers, remix technicians showing off their nicest refixed party sets to an up-for-it North-wheezy crowd...No chin-stroking anorak business though!

FYI: The Dr Sample SP303 is the legendary beat machine behind seminal albums by Madlib, J-Dilla, Clouddead and even Z-trip. Notoriously difficult to use it has only 3 minutes of sample time (so producers had to be creative); no undo button (so mutha-f**kas had to be on pint) and sequences are programmed straight onto the machine (no Cubase, no Logic or Reason)
